New Scene Name
Ever since I began to play in the public scene a little over 2 years ago, I've been searching and searching for a scene name that would "stick". Well, I think I've found one: DarkStar What I like so much are the numerous connotations, especially given my love of word play and multiple meanings. Well first, there is the Grateful Dead song by same name, all of 23 minutes (my favorite number since I was born on the 23rd of June), made in 1969, a damn good year and number as well. Then, there is the movie Dark Star (1974), John Carpenter's first: http://www.moria.co.nz/sf/darkstar.htm The name also incorporates the juxtaposition of opposites, thus melding with my love of Eastern philosophy and view of self and reality (yeah, I'm a switch!). Oh, and lastly the abbreviation would be DS. I rest my case. Feel free to stick me the next time you see me... | | Saturday, January 6th, 2007 | | 7:54 pm |

Tingles
Camp was great. Well, that's a given. Where else can you do and see pretty much anything you can imagine when it comes to sexual expression? AND be with really great people AND be outdoors! For me, the new (or should I say more frequent) experience is of some sort of energy that I began feeling very strongly at Camp. I could hear it in the wind as it sailed through the trees. And it wasn't screaming or singletails, no. It was an energy that made me tingle. I think it's partly Tantric. It might also be connected with my recent explorations into Lucid Dreaming: http://www.susanblackmore.co.uk/Articles/si91ld.html | | Friday, January 27th, 2006 | | 7:38 am |
Prognostications
Is January over yet? I think I'm sloooowly starting to come out of my funk. The bright sunshine yesterday boosted my melatonin levels. I just don't do well with winter; it stresses me out and throws my body and mind out of alignment. The massage I had last week helped. If you ever saw the movie "Semi-Tough", it was sort of like a pelfing: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9E00E3DE1438E530A2575AC1A9679D946690D6CFI think it's a good sign that my frequency of kinky thoughts has started to increase. Prognosis: 70% chance of mild to moderate submission Current Mood: amused | | Monday, December 19th, 2005 | | 6:27 am |

An interesting movie
Yes, I'm probably somewhat behind the times. I tend to watch a lot of movies that were released more than a year ago. I guess I've gotten used to cable. Well, anyway, there was a good one on last night that was very humorous and unpredictable (for the most part): Seeing Other People. There's info. about the movie at: http://www.seeingotherpeoplethemovie.com/ Current Mood: full |
